A day is a circle.

You are a worm through time.

Time does not run out in front of you. It comes back around.

Day
Week
Year
Life

The same shape, four distances.

You were given twenty four hours today. You will be given twenty four tomorrow. There is no system, no arrangement and no amount of money that will get you twenty five.

Every hour has one place on the face, and nothing you put there can also be somewhere else. A list hides that. A list takes everything you hand it and never once says the word full.

A circle says it immediately.

You will do this about twenty nine thousand times. They fit on one screen, the first to the last, and you are somewhere in the middle of it as you read this.

Nothing on that screen says whether a day was worth having. It counts. It does not grade.

Nobody is keeping these for you. There is no service that can read them. A copy you choose to sync leaves this browser already sealed, and the key stays on your side of it.

Which means you are keeping them.

The return is not a punishment. It is the offer. Tomorrow the rim goes dark, the face comes up empty, and the whole of it is handed back.

Fill it on purpose. Leave it empty on purpose. Both are decisions. Drifting is not.

The circle closes so that it can open.
